The shipping costs are calculated by the shop and shown before the ordering process is completed.
Basically they come close to the normal DHL/Deutsche Post charges.

Tip: Ordering more bottles at once will make the best value of the shipping charge. For central Europe, it costs the same to send 4 bottles instead of 1 (3 price levels: 0-5kg, 5-10kg, 10-20kg). For other zones, shipping charges start quite high but don't increase much more for bigger orders.

Shipping is by DHL/Deutsche Post standard or airmail.
In Germany orders are insured against break and loss by DHL/Deutsche Post. We use special bottle boxes matching the terms of DHL/Deutsche Post with the quality mark "Deutsche Post - geprüfte Verpackung", "Innenliegende Verpackung geschützt nach DBGM Nr. DE 298 06 406 U1".
So damages are very rare. If they appear, it is neccessary to have them immediately officially documented by DHL/Deutsche Post or your local delivery service and to take photos of the package and the contents, otherwise the insurance can not be effective. This is only for Germany. International orders are not insured against loss or damage by DHL/Deutsche Post.
Please note that our shipping charges are about 30% lower compared to other absinthe providers. Every insurance you get there is payed by much higher shipping charges, and unneccessary almost every time.
International orders are wrapped with additional stuff to make them as safe and discreet as possible. They have no relation to alcohol or absinthe in special on the outside to avoid any problems that could occur by showing whats inside.
Opened bottles or goods can not be returned and not be refunded.

In general shipping starts immediately after the payment arrives. If some payed goods are not at the point available for any reasons, we will send you a message by email or phone. The amount for the missing item will be refunded or the item will be substituted according to your wishes. Price differences will have to be payed/refunded.

Therefore you need the 12-digit piece-number, which will be sent to you by email after the package is handed over to DHL.
