The ancient recipe for this drink without sugar is obtained mainly by the distillation of a mixture of green anise and wormwood.
Enjoy it as in the times of Zola's heros, as in the times of Absinthe.
It is in Fougerolles, a village classified as one of one hundred sites remarkable for taste, where since 1811 the family Lemercier develop their specialties.
In a large tall glass, pour one volume of absinthe, place the absinthe spoon on the rim, put between one half and one sugar cubes (as you like) on it and drip five volumes of fresh water on the sugar to make it dissipate slowly.
