„Kallnacher Red Absinthe Bitter is a tasty new cocktail fused from two historic 19th century aperitifs. Its base is a recipe dating from 1864 - Italian Bitter of Turin - made from an infusion of 12 aromatic herbs and roots, including ginger and coriander. The Matter-Luginbühl Distillery licensed this recipe in 1929, and is now the only manufacturer still producing it in the original style under the name Martinazzi.
A genuine Swiss absinthe distillate has been blended with this aperitif to create something new and exciting for those who appreciate an eclectic drink.
The drink might be low in alcohol, but it is full of complex herbal and earthy aromas. Wormwood and gentiane give it a pleasingly bitter taste which is complimented by a bright, sweet anise kick.
Kallnacher Red can be enjoyed straight, mixed with citrus soda, or in a tall glass filled with ice cubes and half sparkling water.“
